I'm going to go defrag my computer. It's been driving me nuts, I think it's dying slowly but surely. So I've been cleaning out my computer and backing up files and now I'm going to defrag it. I've never done it and I'm a little scared It's alright though if I blow it up or something because I have the pc to go on! Anyone know anything bout defragging?

I used to do it on my old computers, its does clean things up and gets things running a bit better. Dunno bout the new ones though i never had to with Vista. It wont ruin any programs it just fixes things, deletes unessasary files and organises, you can free up quite a bit of memorie and hence make it run faster. mmmmm if only you could manually defrag and had the brain of a computer, id be in organiseing heaven.

Yeah I finally did it and it only took a couple of hours. I don't know if things are running smoother yet but I have it so it's scheduled for every week. I think my lap top might need a lot more work though before it'll be running properly
