Did anyone else watch this last night? I watched it. I thought it was ok, but I'll give it a few more eps to see if it holds my attention. I haven't read the books either, has anyone else?

Sorry dude i aint down wit tha whole vampire scene. Although i generally watch stuff just cause its on tv and i cant be bothered changing the channel, what day/cahnnels it on? Interview with a Vampire will continue to be the primal vampire storie in my book! showing once again im firmly stuck between gen x and gen y lol (plus brads so hot like omg??). Vampires should eat rats! not people, take a page outa brads book. And dont infect little girls because it'l only backfore. And dont infect tom cruise, he would be even crazier now then back then!
The only thing im "not down with" more then the teenage vampire phenemin is this "glee/gleek" thing. I have nothing to say about it it, im just going to throw up instead ;D. Here i was thinking teenagers are evolving and becoming more cooler but truth is, you're on the last train outa sydney suckers, next stop is the 1950's!

I watched it Ren, by a complete fluke. I think I was watching something else, it finished and then I changed the channel to see what else was on and saw an advert saying that was going to start in a few minutes.
I don't know about it. I'd be willing to watch it a few times because of a character sharing my name, but with all the vampire stuff going on at the moment it's nowhere near original, the first episode was really predictable, and I think the acting was a bit on the crappy side.
It would be nice to watch a vampire style show because of Buffy being finished, but not something that's so like Twilight it makes me want to puke (I reckon Stephenie Meyer probably borrowed from it seeing as she likes to borrow from everything rather then come up with anything original). I'd prefer to watch True Blood then that show.
I'd probably also consider reading the series, especially as it was published before the whole 'vampires are nice and love you' fad.
Is it going to be on again though. It said after the show that it's on Channel 99 or some crap didn't it? I can't remember...

this "glee/gleek" thing. I have nothing to say about it it, im just going to throw up instead ;D. I agree with you on that one! ;D Vampire Diaries on Monday 8.30pm on GO! ( digital channel 99) Yeah, i agree. I didn't think it was great, but it was ok. Having said that though unless the next few eps are really good i doubt i'll watch it after that. I'd like to watch True Blood too. What do you think of all this hype/teenybopper obsession over Twilight? I liked the books (although i thought part of Breaking Dawn was too over the top), but i thought the Twilight movie was only average. Now with all the hype & teenybopper obsession surrounding everything Twilight i'm a bit over it.

You should definitely check out True Blood. I hired it out from the video store and watched it in a couple of days. I want to buy it now and read the books even though they are meant to be really different.
I'm so over it Ren that I'm embarrassed to even mention to people that I read Twilight to begin with. It might be different if the movie was great and Twilight was a literature masterpiece, but it wasn't. It was just pure entertainment and now that everyone seems to be copying it or older versions of the 'vampire turn good' are coming out of the woodwork I can't even bring myself to read a proper vampire series (you know the actual killer vampires) which is really depressing because I've been nuts about vampires for years.
It's like waking up from a bad night out on the p*** where you just know you did something shameful, but you have to deny it.
I'm more into dwarves now. Dwarves are awesome. I might go back to reading some vampire literature as long as it's not too much like Twilight, but for now I like my dwarves.
As for Vampire Diaries, I don't get pay tv so I won't be able to watch it. That solves that problem.

It's like waking up from a bad night out on the p*** where you just know you did something shameful, but you have to deny it. Now that is a good way to describe it! ;D I'm reading the True Blood books atm. Had them for awhile, but have been too sidetracked reading other things. They're not bad. First book took a little while to get going, but once it did i liked it. I'll have to keep an eye out for True Blood on dvd. Go! is free to air, but you need either a decoder or digital tv to watch it.

Go! is free to air, but you need either a decoder or digital tv to watch it. That's too fancy pants for me or at least it means I have to think more. I don't think a show is worth that much effort unless it's brilliant within the first 5 minutes. I'll read True Blood one day. One day... Oh wait, when my layby ends

<---never dug the teenage vampire thing, you SHOULD be ashamed bon!! ! hey speaking of fads you know what the on-the-way-out word is now? "random!" seems like only yesterday it was invented and interesting. But like most living beings and cyberorganisms you grow sick of them and they becoime annoying and they wont stop crying for a bottle? On the Glee thing, im writing a letter to channel nine threatening to commit suicide if they air it . I don't watch it but just knowing it's there, just one channel away, is way to close for my comfort. ;D @ the waking up from a night on the p***, your random aussieness shocks me sometimes bonnie .

Random isn't a new fad. It's been around for awhile now and it's just as annoying as it was to begin with. Glee is so lame. I've been trying to watch it a couple of times and don't mind the in-between story even though it's really predictable (I keep trying because I like the Cheerleader lady, but she isn't on enough), but then they start singing and dancing and I want to throw something at the tv. As for vampires. I was into them before they were cool and before they slept with people and ate rabbits. So Ben
